Author's Bio

Jeffrey Birch wrote fiction for many years throughout a busy business career. Fifteen years were devoted to developing science and technology exhibits for several museums. He then moved to commercial exhibits and worked to create signature retail environments for numerous U.S. businesses.

After retirement, he devoted himself to his passion for writing fiction. He specializes in murder mysteries. His Chance Colter Mystery series continues with several novels published as eBooks.

Jeffrey is also a fine artist and has produced many original works of sculpture in various media. He also paints wildlife, still lifes and landscapes in a representational style. Examples of his artwork are available on Facebook at Jbirch@bircharts.com.

As a volunteer for the Science Museum of Minnesota where he directed the Exhibits Department in the 1960's and early 1970's, he has provided technical illustrations of fossils and other artwork to the museum as a service.

Jeffrey and his wife love to travel. Italy is a favorite destination. To make their Italian adventures more fun, Jeffrey has studied the Italian language. He frequently includes Italian language comments by characters in his novels.

He is a dedicated and prolific writer. Presently, he seeks to publish two novels per year. Watch Facebook and Twitter for updates on books to come.
